Marvel has had a long streak of Superhero movies for over 2 decades now, and are still progressing to creating new and more defined movies. The fans have loved their work and are willing to stick around and be excited for even more movies to come. The marvel movies are divided into Phases, where there are a cluster of interrelated superhero characters and plots that contribute to one big plot, which in this case is the Avengers. The Avengers series is a great convergence between all the heroes from the previous movies. These previous movies are blockbusters on their own, but only feature one superhero to which the movie focuses on. This convergence of heroes in one movie was first developed by Marvel, which DC later caught on due to capitalism and marketing reasons. But it was truly Marvel that forged the appeal of multiple superheroes in one movie type series: Avengers.
However, the three Phases of the MCU (Marvel Comics Universe) movies are now being wrapped up as Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame marks the end of the cluster of interconnected movies of the three phases. These movies include Antman and Antman and the Wasp, Captain America 1-3, Thor 1-3, the new Spiderman homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1 – 2, Captain Marvel, and even The Inhumans. And of course, the Avenger movies themselves. These movies have intertwining plots with one another, and Endgame just wrapping paper on the whole gift of the Three Phases of MCU. With that being said, Endame is the conclusion and End of Phase 3 in the Marvel Universe.
Now, of course, due to capitalism, we all know as the human species, that marvel will not stop there. It wont be an abandoned studio, they are definitely going to keep trying to play the market game in superhero movies. They also cannot deny the fact that there will be competitor studios that also exist to worship Capitalism, they too have taken notes and because of competition and pride, there will definitely be a Phase 4. Beautiful as the cinematic superhero competition is, we can never tell if Marvel can beat its own record. Because the entire buildup of Phase 1 – 3 in the MCU has already been masterfully woven. Maybe not the most perfect because it is the first of its kind of genre and intertwining plots, but Marvel had already set its own record to beat.
With that being said, what will be in store for Phase 4 of the Marvel Universe? Are people going to still be interested in Marvel movies after all the commotion is concluded in Endgame? Will the Marvel Universe and Marvel Studios live up to its own expectation and deliver high quality innovative Super Hero movies in Phase 4 movies? Or will they end up disappointing, and DC comics finds a new element in superhero movies that people do not know they love yet? We will find out soon, in 2020 and beyond. For now, here is the roster of upcoming Marvel Movies that are being planned as we speak. Here are the predicted coming Marvel Movies of Phase 4: Black Widow, ETERNALS, Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2, Shang Chi, Captain Marvel 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Ant Man and the Wasp 3, Spiderman 2, NOVA, Namor, and another Avengers: The Secret Invasion.
Will these movies satisfy? or will they deteriorate? We shall see as time progresses!
